We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Temporary Accommodation Manager to lead our service, ensuring that individuals and families in housing crisis receive safe, suitable, and well-managed accommodation.

This is a pivotal role in our Housing Solutions team, working at the heart of the community to support some of our most vulnerable residents. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of our temporary accommodation portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory duties, contractual agreements, and high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the local authority's portfolio of temporary accommodation, including hostels, leased properties, and emergency placements.

  • Oversee allocation, occupancy, and move-on arrangements in line with homelessness legislation and council policy.

  • Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard, working closely with landlords, contractors, and support services.

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of housing officers and support staff.

  • Monitor budgets, expenditure, and contractual obligations.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding responsibilities, and data protection requirements.

  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams, partner agencies, and voluntary sector organisations to deliver holistic support for residents.
