Salary: £90 -£120 per day– Depending on Experience
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Burnham. This role offers an immediate start and provides a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) across Key Stages 1 and 2. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will play a key part in helping each child reach their full potential through tailored academic and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs
• Support the implementation of EHCP targets and individual education plans
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Assist with classroom routines, behaviour management, and personal care where necessary
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external specialists
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to support
• Ability to tailor support strategies to meet individual pupil needs
• Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
