Are you a confident KS1 Teaching Assistant with a passion for early learning and development? A welcoming primary school in Smethwick is seeking a skilled TA to provide targeted support across Key Stage 1, delivering interventions and assisting pupils who need extra help to stay on track.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys working with a range of learners. You'll work across Year 1 and Year 2 classes, focusing on phonics, literacy and numeracy interventions, as well as providing general in-class support where needed.

In this role, you will:

  • Delivering structured interventions to small groups and individual pupils
  • Supporting the class teacher with planning and resources for targeted sessions
  • Helping to raise attainment in reading, writing and maths
  • Encouraging positive learning behaviours and pupil confidence
  • Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff

You'll need:

  • A Level 3 TA qualification (preferred) or equivalent classroom experience
  • Recent experience working within Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early learning strategies
  • Excellent communication and rapport with young children
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work independently
