We are recruiting for an ICT Teacher to join a thriving OFSTED rated ‘GOOD’ Secondary School in Smethwick. This full-time position is set to begin in September and will run until January 2026 initially, with a strong possibility of extension. The Secondary School has a supportive leadership team, modern ICT facilities, and a strong reputation for fostering both student and staff development. As an ICT Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering the National Curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
Job Role:
- Full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking and assessments
- Teaching ICT across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- May include delivering some Computer Science lessons at KS3
- Adhering to the school’s behaviour policy and maintaining excellent behaviour management
- Creating engaging lessons tailored to the needs of all learners
- Monitoring student progress and reporting to SLT and parents as required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Experience teaching ICT in a UK Secondary School
- Excellent subject knowledge and familiarity with the National Curriculum
- Confident teaching both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Previous experience as an ICT Teacher, Secondary Teacher, Computer Science Teacher or ICT Educator is desirable
