Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling various tasks related to materials management, stock control, and logistics. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain an organised warehouse environment by ensuring all materials are stored correctly.
  • Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and stock movements.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy lifting tasks.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist in the maintenance of warehouse equipment.
  • Perform picking and packing duties accurately to fulfil customer orders.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial.
  • A valid forklift licence is desirable for operating warehouse machinery.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge will be an asset in troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods is essential.
