We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Shift Team Leader to lead a team of technical operators and engineers, shifts include days and nights with extended breaks at the end of a 3-week rota.
Your new role
You will be responsible on a shift-rota basis for the safe operation and environmental performance of the plant and security of the site. You will ensure the plant is operated with respect to safety, environmental and operational limits at all times, whilst maximising availability, reliability and efficiency. You will provide overall supervision and development of the shift team, including managing individual and team performance to ensure safe generation and environmental performance of the site.
What you'll need to succeed Ideally, an HND/degree within an Engineering discipline with a high level of knowledge of power generation, Biomass/Paper/Gas/Chemical industries. A good understanding of all HSE aspects is a fundamental requirement, with IOSH managing safely a minimum, but NEBOSH Certificate qualified as a preferred requirement. Raising permits and safety systems, strong IT and communication skills.
