Our client is a well established and forward thinking company based in Snodland. As part of their continuing development, they are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join the team.

The Role:

As warehouse manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of our busy warehouse while spearheading a transformation of both operational processes and workplace culture. You will have the autonomy and support to implement new systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and create a working environment where safety, efficiency, and team engagement are top priorities

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong background in implementing operational change and driving cultural transformation.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • A track record of introducing efficiency-improving processes and systems.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Experience with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on, approachable, and solutions-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Analyse existing workflows and processes; identify areas for improvement and implement best-in-class operational practices.
  • Lead and mentor the warehouse team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Design and implement new SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to optimise efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Introduce lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Always ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and coordinate regular stock takes.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align warehouse operations with overall business goals.
  • Use data and KPIs to measure performance and drive improvement.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and pride within the team.
