Financial Controller (Part-Time) - Flexible, Secure & Impactful Opportunity

We're proud to be working with a fast-growing, innovative business that is now ready to make its first finance hire, a part-time Financial Controller, to bring structure, oversight, and long-term financial stability to the company. This role will be working 22.5 hours across 2 - 3 days, salary will be pro rata.

About the Role

This is a newly created, operationally focused role that offers long-term stability and flexibility - ideal for a parent looking to balance career and home life. As the Financial Controller, you'll take full ownership of the finance function. You'll implement systems and processes, oversee reporting, and provide financial clarity to support informed decision-making across the business.

Reporting directly to the Founder and working closely with a small leadership team, your work will be central to the company's day-to-day operations and future plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage all core financial processes and controls.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Manage all regulatory compliance, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Advise on financial implications of strategic decisions.
  • Introduce systems/tools that bring efficiency and transparency.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller in an SME setting.
  • Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
  • Comfortable working independently as the sole finance professional.
  • Able to think strategically while staying hands-on with the day-to-day.
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, practical mindset.
