Trinity House Group are partnering directly with a highly acquisitive PE backed business in the Tech / Telecoms industry for the role of Senior Management Account is critical to the success of the business as you will be responsible for processing and analysing the results of a number of different products and services.

Each day will bring different challenges, from networking and influencing colleagues, helping to support the training and development needs of the Management Accounts team, integration of acquisitions and reviewing monthly results. You will be required to work to tight deadlines so you will need to be a methodical and organised individual.

You will be required to work from our Headquarters based in Solihull, however, as a business we do encourage agile working which includes working some days of the week from a home location. Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Working closely with the Finance Manager, Management Accountants and the wider finance department team to ensure accurate month end preparation and reporting of the management accounts for acquisitions
  • Management of a team of management accountants and assistant management accountants (3 in total)
  • Ownership of all ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Document accounting processes and procedures
  • Variance analysis across the P&L, proactively investigating and resolving with departments across the business including regular and ad-hoc
  • Business Partnering across the organisation
  • Put forward ideas for continuous improvement and implementation of agreed improvements with the support of management
  • Assist with key aspects of statutory and financial accounting processes
  • Monitor and coordinate specific month end (and year end) activities per Month End close Timetable
  • Lead the overall closing schedule and assignment of tasks during the close and their respective deadlines
  • Preparation and review of all scheduled Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
  • Stock reconciliations
  • Support the development of year end processes and submission of relevant documentation of external audit.
  • Oversee the fixed asset reporting and accounting process

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Management Accounts role or similar is essential.
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified accountant with 5 years post-qualified experience
  • Experience working with acquisitions is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with Sage200 is also beneficial
  • Competent in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong Ms Excel skills i.e., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot table and If statements
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple assignments at any given time while also serving as a "go to" for members of a large team.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround.
  • High work ethic and ambition to grow with a business on a big growth
  • Reliable and approachable.
