We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our Christian Organisation / Charity. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and administration. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in a timely manner.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing necessary data and analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively.
- Liaise with internal departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Contribute to process improvements within the finance department to enhance efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred
- AAT qualification
- Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear interaction with colleagues at all levels.
