We have a cleaner opportunity within our client's Estates and Services team based in Solihull. In this role, you will work as part of a mobile cleaning team to deliver a good standard of cleanliness, security, and safety to the communal parts of the organisation’s housing stock.
Job Title: Cleaner (Communal)
Location: Solihull area, with occasional travel to Hereford and Worcester
Hours: 37 hours over a 7-day week, working any 5 from 7 days (Monday to Sunday), in line with a rota pattern
Type: 12 weeks temporary with potential extension
Pay Rate: £12.56 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning tasks including mopping, sweeping, buffing, polishing, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning of glass, toilet, and sanitary areas in line with a cleaning specification.
- Remove litter and small-scale graffiti.
- Complete daily work logs using a mobile app.
- Ensure teamwork and collaboration within the cleaning team.
- Maintain basic health and safety standards in a cleaning environment, including the use of equipment.
- Meet varying deadlines and work in unpleasant conditions.
- Drive a small company van as required.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Basic health and safety knowledge in a cleaning environment.
- Ability to work to and meet varying deadlines.
- Ability to work in unpleasant conditions.
- Holding a U.K. driving license (manual) and willingness to drive a small company van is essential.
Training: The necessary training will be provided, including the safe use of chemicals. You will also have the opportunity to undertake the BICS qualification in Cleaning.
