Exciting Dispute/Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join our client's Litigation team. This role involves supporting our client's lawyers with a variety of administrative tasks, case management duties, and general team responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a paralegal qualification and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide general support to the team on a wide range of matters, predominantly those of a disputed nature involving civil proceedings, summons, adjudications, arbitrations, mediation, and building safety.
  • Ensure performance data is accurately captured and assist in the preparation of performance reports for the Board and the Executive.
  • Assist with caseload management including managing deadlines, reporting obligations, and preparing legal letters and documents.
  • Assist with court proceedings - preparing bundles, ensuring efficient and accurate filing/submission of documents, tracking timelines, assisting with instructions, and reviewing evidence. Attendance at hearings and inquiries may be required.
  • Undertake legal research on various matters and communicate findings to the team in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Provide general administrative support across the team including photocopying, scanning, filing, and populating the case management system.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and instructions at all times.
  • Implement new ideas and methods to improve contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhance the reputation of the company.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Paralegal qualification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ paralegal experience.
  • Experience in Civil Litigation, Building Safety, and Construction environments.
  • Strong legal research skills and experience preparing legal documents.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and collaborate with a wide variety of people.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
