We are actively recruiting for someone with both a strong IT and manual background for the role of IT Hardware and Software Technician for a market-leading bio-metricaccess control and workforce management solution provider. This Role will include the use of hand tools and can be dexterous at times.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and set up hardware to meet operational and client-specific requirements.
- Assist with assembly of electrical equipment and associated brackets
- Install and configure software across various platforms
- Test and prepare products (Routers, CCTV, PCs) for deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for returned products
- Accurately log issues related to networking, hardware, or software.
- Communicate effectively with all departments and Management as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Order Preparation and Stores teams.
- Support with ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of IT hardware (PCs, routers, peripherals).
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with a can-do attitude and a passion for IT and technology.
- Basic knowledge of CCTV equipment (training provided).
- Experience of using basic hand tools
