- Handle a mixed caseload of adult social care law from start to completion. This will include Court of Protection Proceedings, DoLs, ordinary residence matters, funding and charging disputes, advisory work related to Care Act 2014 responsibilities, Mental Health, and Mental Capacity Acts.
- Giving advice and drafting legal documents on a range of legal issues, including policy and procedure.
- As and when required attending Council Committees and Sub-Committees and handling legal and advisory work connected with this.
- Be a qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive in England and Wales with 3+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care law.
- Knowledge and practical experience of Court of Protection Proceedings, court protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrable understanding of Adult Social Care legislation, relevant case law and guidance including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
