About the Role

You will work as part of Urban64's Assembly and Maintenance team located in Solihull. Working in the warehouse, being a part of the team carrying out servicing and repairs, erection and installation of equipment ready for transportation to site, updating stock information and attending site to support the wider team.

The aim is to ensure that the Urban64 product maintains its reputation as a premium product and service. This would be achieved by ensuring the equipment is well maintained, installed correctly and any issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Off-site build: The selection and installation of Urban64 equipment in the warehouse. This includes testing and documenting the equipment, ready for transportation to site. Work should be carried out in a neat and tidy fashion, which is signed off by the team manager or representative.
  • Stock returns and repairs: Equipment returned from site is dismantled and each item is tested and cleaned. Items are labelled, providing information about their condition and the details are recorded using the stock management system.
  • Documents and updating projects: Tasks on Teams shall be updated to provide progress reports and documentation, photos uploaded to the correct files. Stock management should be updated in a timely manner, so the business is aware of the quantities and condition of their stock.
  • Housekeeping: The Solihull depot is a flagship site and work areas shall always be kept clean and tidy. This objective also covers PPE. As this is a working site, the correct PPE must be worn and should be to the appropriate standards.
  • Site maintenance and repairs: To ensure the department can react positively, attendance on site on site for faults or planned works will also be required. This is subject to the individual receiving the appropriate training and will include the provision of a company vehicle when carrying out this activity.
  • Deliveries - loading and unloading: Daily there will be a need to support when deliveries arrive, or goods need to be dispatched. On occasion this may include assistance for the wider SRL business.

Key Skills

Essential:

  • Reliable
  • Being a key team player
  • Full driving license required

  • GCSE grade C (4) in English and Maths as essential

Desirable:

  • Basic electrical fault finding.
  • Worked within a Highways environment.
  • A basic knowledge of traffic light equipment.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Competent in driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.
  • Competent in the towing of a trailer with plant equipment loaded.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
  • City and Guilds, qualification or equivalent in highways installations.
