Your new company
Solihull Council are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team, working across Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Court proceedings. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.


Your new role
You will be responsible for managing a manageable caseload, conducting assessments, developing and reviewing care plans, and preparing detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality social work services to children and families in line with the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Undertake assessments and develop action plans based on identified needs.
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reports for statutory processes.
  • Participate in duty rota every 5 weeks (1-2 days frontline work)

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Recent experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, and Courtwork (we are open to candidates with strong experience in one or two of these areas).
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, particularly the Children Act.
  • Must be a car user with the ability to travel across locations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
