Contract: 9 monthsLocation: Solihull - Hybrid Work PatternAbout the Role:Hays is collaborating with a local council to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable professional to support the Adult Social Care team. This opportunity has arisen due to increased demand within the team. The council is seeking a candidate who has previously worked with an Adult Social Care payment team or in a similar role to provide support over the next 9 months.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ASC client income process, ensuring invoices are raised within agreed timelines and in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures.
  • Deliver services to customers/clients/users, liaising with others internally and externally to promote good working relationships that enable efficient service delivery.
  • Investigate, analyse, and interpret information using financial systems such as Oracle and/or other financially related systems.
  • Reconcile and analyse financial data, ensuring quality checks against various sources.

Handle, process, and maintain manual and computerised information with care, accuracy, confidentiality, and security.Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience using Oracle for Finance and/or other local authority-specific databases (e.g., Social Care Financial Data Software).
  • Experience working in a financial role within the Public Sector.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Knowledge of financial processes, practices, and standards.
