Finance Operations Team Leader
Solihull | Up to 33,000 | Permanent | Office-Based

Are you a confident people leader with a passion for building strong teams and driving operational excellence? We're looking for a Finance Operations Team Leader to take charge of a large, fast-paced administrative team within our client's Finance Operations function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working with data, and has a proven track record in motivating teams, improving processes, and delivering results.



What you'll be doing:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a busy administration team to achieve targets and deliver consistent results.

  • Managing all aspects of people processes, including 1:1s, appraisals, absence management, disciplinaries, and performance reviews.

  • Overseeing day-to-day workflows, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Collaborating across the wider finance function to align on objectives and support business priorities.

  • Using Excel to monitor performance, analyse data trends, and implement improvements.

  • Supporting recruitment, training, and on boarding of new team members while fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.



What we're looking for:

  • Experience leading and developing large teams within a finance operations or administration setting.

  • Strong people management skills with proven experience handling formal HR processes.

  • Excellent Excel skills and the confidence to interpret and work with data.

  • Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable to a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communicator with a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
