About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact projects within their dynamic Projects and Programmes Department. This role is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of IT work-packages and projects that align with the organisation's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring quality standards are met within budget and time constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, managing expectations and reporting on progress.
  • Resource Management: Oversee internal delivery teams and external partners, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately and performance is optimal.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Ensure all project documentation is current, accessible, and stored correctly for ongoing operations.
  • Team Leadership: Provide line management to Digital Project Managers and Junior Digital Project Managers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver high-quality IT work-packages/projects while adhering to established governance and compliance standards.
  • Monitor project budgets and financials, ensuring all financial documentation is maintained accurately.
  • Facilitate service acceptance planning and ensure readiness for operational handover.
  • Regularly liaise with cross-functional teams to align project delivery with organisational strategies.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing digital projects, preferably within IT change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Prince2 or APM certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with systems integration and development methodologies.
