An automotive component manufacturer with sites across Europe require a Quality Technician to act as the onsite Quality representative at the customer site. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of IATF16949 and working knowledge of FMEA’s and control plans.
Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Shirley, Redditch, Stratford Upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Warwick
Rate: £15.87 per hour + 21% shift allowance (avg. £39,941 p.a.)
Hours: 40 hours/wk on a 3-shift rotation – mornings 06:00 – 14:00, afternoons 14:00 – 22:00, nights 22:00 – 06:00

The Role
Reporting into the Quality Manager you will have the following duties:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Providing immediate onsite containment and work towards a resolution for internal and external quality issues.
-      Work closely with customer operators, quality engineers and team leader’s trackside to align inspection standards and supporting a smooth production flow.
-      Involvement in global 8D reporting using the multifunction team’s support.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Support the improvements of inspection methods, control plans and visual standards.
The Person
Educated to ONC level in quality techniques you will have the following experience:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â A good understanding of both customer requirements and quality standards.
-      Working knowledge of FMEA’s and control plans.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Process and Product Audit experience.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â An understanding of APQP.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Good IT skills including Microsoft packages.
