Your new companySolihull Council are looking to appoint 2 qualified social workers (full-time) to join their Children with Disabilities Team (CWDT). This is an exciting time for Solihull Metropolitan council, which are striving for positive outcomes for children, young people and their families through early intervention and support.

Your new roleAs a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team, your main duties will include: providing a service to children who are subject to child in need plans, child protection plans, pre-proceedings or court proceedings. Assessing the needs of children and young people who have disabilities and understanding whether they require specialist intervention from the team or whether they are able to access mainstream activities. You will work within an established team with an experienced permanent manager and will receive consistent monthly supervision.This is an essential car user role.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this position you need:

  • Must have 3 years' post-qualification experience as a Childrens Social Worker and hold a Social work qualification in either BA Social work, CQSW, DipSW, CCS or CCETSW
  • Preferable experience in Children's Disability Team
  • Must have completed ASYE
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Car Driver
