Are you an experienced and commercially astute Senior Estimator looking to make a real impact on major infrastructure projects? We are expanding our pre-construction team in Solihull and are seeking a talented individual to help secure high-quality work that drives sustainable growth for our business.
 
Your Impact
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders that meet client requirements while aligning with our strategic objectives. Your expertise will directly support our mission to deliver industry-leading infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
·Managing and preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions from first principles.
·Developing tender win strategies and generating commercial approaches to secure work at sustainable rates.
·Building and maintaining strong relationships with key supply chain partners.
·Identifying opportunities for margin improvement and assessing project risks, producing supporting risk registers.
·Contributing to post-tender interviews, negotiations, and successful handovers to delivery teams.
·Creating innovative solutions to differentiate bids and strengthen competitive advantage.
·Producing site prelim estimates and ensuring submissions meet corporate and bid standards.
·Gathering feedback from completed projects to improve future tenders.
 
What You Bring
You'll bring a strong mix of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and collaborative skills, along with a proven track record in estimating infrastructure projects.
We're looking for someone who:
·Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in Candy estimating software.
·Has a solid understanding of NEC contracts, specifications, and the full estimating process.
·Demonstrates strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.
·Is highly organised, analytical, and confident in decision-making.
·Holds relevant professional qualifications (desirable).
