Job Title: Steel Fixer
Location: Hinkley Point, Somerset
Contract: Full-time | Pay: 22-23 per hour | Paid fortnightly
MCG Construction are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers to join the Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build - one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and secure steel reinforcement bars/mesh for concrete structures.
- Interpret technical reinforcement drawings and schedules.
- Cut, bend, tie, and assemble rebar as per specification.
- Support safe and accurate concrete pours.
- Maintain high nuclear industry quality and safety standards.

Requirements:
- CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue) card essential. (Unfortunately we cannot accept GQA or Green CSCS cards for this role)
- Experience in construction/rebar installation essential.
- Ability to read and follow reinforcement drawings.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
- Desirable: IPAF, Harness Training, Abrasive Wheels certification.
