Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and work in primary and secondary schools across Somerset. We have opportunities for both day-to-day supply and long-term roles. This is an excellent chance for individuals who are passionate about supporting student's learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting student's learning.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources as needed.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt activities to meet their needs.
  • Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
  • A genuine interest in education and supporting student learning.
  • Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
