Stirling Warrington have partnered up with a well-established company operating within the FMCG Manufacturing sector, they are currently recruiting for a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at their manufacturing site, in Somerset.

The successful candidate will undertake maintenance engineering and Reliability duties on site, Reporting into the Production Manager.

The Role Will Involve

  • Working with the team to ensure reliability and productivity
  • PPM maintenance for the production machinery
  • Proactively diagnosing faults and anticipating any failures to reduce downtime.
  • Ordering parts and liaison with contractors.
  • Identify common failure modes and areas for Reliability and Efficiency Improvement within Engineering and Production.
  • Preventative Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Condition Based Maintenance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • Manage a project to install Computerised Maintenance Management System.
  • Utilise the tools and Techniques of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Electrically biased, hands-on maintenance experience
  • PLC or controls experience, fault finding experience along with instruments, inverters, drives and control systems experience
  • A recognised engineering Qualification Min – NVQ Level 3
  • Maintenance experience within industrial environment including FMCG, manufacturing
  • A strong understanding of fault-finding root cause analysis and failure analysis
  • Able to work independently and within a team
