Adecco are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Performance and Intelligence Officer on behalf of our public sector client. The succesful candidate will join the Children, Young People & Education Directorate to support the timely and accurate processing of statutory school attainment data returns to the Department for Education (DfE).

  • Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
  • Temporary Role - 3 months, covering long-term sick leave
  • £400 per day Umbrella
  • Hybrid Working - 2 to 3 days per week in office

Role Overview

This short-term engagement requires a candidate who can immediately contribute to the team's objectives. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the processing, validation, and submission of over 250 school returns, including:

  • Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP)
  • Phonics Screening Check
  • Key Stage 1 (non-statutory)
Essential Knowledge and Experience

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • In-depth knowledge of DfE data collection requirements for EYFSP, Phonics, and KS1
  • Proficiency in using:
    • Nexus for uploading and quality assurance of school returns
    • DfE Collect for submission of statutory returns
    • School census data and education case management systems
  • Advanced analytical skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in data validation and quality assurance processes
Key Competencies
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with schools and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data handling
  • Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Sound understanding of data protection legislation relevant to the role
