Media Studies Teacher - Overview

Our secondary school in Croydon is seeking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Media Studies Teacher to join its team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and motivated educator to grow professionally while contributing to an innovative and inclusive learning environment.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in vocational education at Level 2 and Level 3, and be committed to supporting learners across Key Stages 4 and 5. Opportunities for additional responsibility are available, including roles within pastoral support and enrichment activities.

 

Main Responsibilities

Deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated Media Studies curriculum Inspire and support student progress and development across KS4 and KS5 Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Act as a form tutor and contribute to the pastoral care of students  

 

What We’re Looking For

The successful applicant will:

Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a degree in a relevant subject Have experience teaching in a secondary setting (including through placements) Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and an understanding of effective pedagogy Be passionate about creating opportunities for all learners to succeed Be committed to inclusion, high expectations, and continuous improvement Possess excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills
