A School in South Leverton near Retford, require two teaching assistants to join them on a temp to perm basis. The school cater for students with special educational needs and the primary need of the children is social, emotional and mental health. Children attending the school may have faced adverse childhood experiences and display disregulated behavior. This means that at times, the children can be physical and the school are specifically interested in Teaching Assistants who hold the team teach qualification of have previously used team teach strategies in their role. The working hours are 08:30-16:00 , Monday to Friday and this is a permenant role, subject to a twleve week probation through Milk Education.

This is a small school with the capacity for 20 students so you will be part of a small team who's focus is the pastoral support of students at the school. You will be resonsible for ensuring children are helped with regulating their emotions, accessing their learning and that any safeguarding concerns are reported appropriately.
