 The Role - Quality Controller

As a Quality Controller, you'll be part of a highly skilled inspection team, working across Aerospace products, Investment Castings, Mechanical and Electrical components, and Composites. Your role will be critical in ensuring world-class quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across the North Devon facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection of aerospace products.

     

  • Conduct in-process inspections and First Article Inspections.

     

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues in line with procedures, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

     

  • Maintain accurate quality records and metrics.

     

  • Support the shop floor with technical issues.

     

  • Audit Approved Operators and support training of colleagues.

     

  • Work proactively to resolve problems and drive improvements.

     

  • Undertake other quality-related activities as required by the business.

     

 

About You

We're looking for motivated and detail-driven professionals with:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and Science.

     

  • Experience using measuring equipment and interpreting engineering drawings.

     

  • Knowledge of aerospace processes and FAIRs (AS 9102) advantageous.

     

  • Previous experience in inspection (Goods In, In-Process, or Final).

     

  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys / 8D).

     

  • City & Guilds or apprenticeship training in a relevant discipline is a plus.

     

(Training will be provided for the right candidate with strong technical aptitude.)
