ICT Teacher – Special Needs School (Andover Area)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2024
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Pay: £160 - £240 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
Location: Near Andover, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time 8:00am – 4:00pm

Position Overview:

Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a well-respected Special Needs School located near Andover. This long-term role is available to start immediately or from September 2024, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be working closely with students aged 11–16 with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. You will deliver engaging and accessible ICT lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP targets, within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated ICT lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with additional needs.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to support students’ individual education plans (IEPs) and encourage engagement and independence.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with SEN staff, teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and statutory requirements.
