The role:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our exciting rapidly growing Restaurant and Bars client across Scotland, that are looking for a Relief Head Chef. The Relief Head Chef is to be part of a regional operational kitchen brigade, that will go into venues on the East coast of Scotland and support as required across our clients expanding, quality, casual dining Kitchen operations. You will also be helping with new openings, implementation of seasonal menu launches, and developing teams, in this fast-growing award-winning business.

The person:

Our ambitious client at Global Talent 2020, is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will harness the talent of the settled brigade. Utilise the fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, to continually provide popular food experiences for its customers.

The ideal Relief Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience of volume restaurants in the high street space. You must be highly approachable with your persona, as you will be interacting with other senior department culinary heads, regional operational management, and with all levels of the businesss diverse teams.

Our client requires an ideal Relief Head Chef, that is keen to train, coach and mentor colleagues, support and evolve food services, deliver consistency of food concepts, while building on the reputation of the business as an Employer of choice.

As the Relief Head Chef, you must be proven to be flexible, and highly adaptive in all your approaches to your team, culinary skills, and also with delivery of services developed with the company Regional Operations Chef for the East.

The Relief Head Chef must also be someone that not only has great presentation skills, but someone that also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, of Health, Food safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, training, and possess strong cost & budgetary control skill sets of their Kitchen environment.
