Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Joiner to join a local authority in the Tyne and Wear area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to carry out a variety of joinery works across housing and public buildings, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard.

Overview:
The role will involve completing a range of joinery tasks as part of the repairs and maintenance service. You will be working within occupied and unoccupied properties, delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to health and safety standards.

Main Duties:

Carry out a variety of joinery repairs, installations and maintenance tasks
Work on both planned and reactive jobs within domestic and public buildings
Ensure all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timescales
Liaise with tenants, colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth service delivery
Adhere to health and safety policies and safe working practices

Essential Criteria:

NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry/Joinery, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in joinery maintenance and repair within housing or public buildings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK Driving Licence
