Joiner

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Joiner to join a local authority in the Tyne and Wear area. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to carry out a variety of joinery works across housing and public buildings, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard.

Overview:
The role will involve completing a range of joinery tasks as part of the repairs and maintenance service. You will be working within occupied and unoccupied properties, delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to health and safety standards.

Main Duties:

• Carry out a variety of joinery repairs, installations and maintenance tasks
• Work on both planned and reactive jobs within domestic and public buildings
• Ensure all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timescales
• Liaise with tenants, colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth service delivery
• Adhere to health and safety policies and safe working practices

Essential Criteria:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Carpentry/Joinery, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in joinery maintenance and repair within housing or public buildings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK Driving Licence
