Vision for Education are seeking a calm, confident, and resilient Behaviour Mentor in South Tyneside to support students in managing their emotions and behaviour. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a positive, structured learning environment where young people can thrive.

This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students build self-regulation, social skills, and confidence. The role is ideal for someone patient, proactive, and committed to making a lasting impact.

A qualification in Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Support would be desirable.

The desired Behaviour Mentor will have:

  • Experience working with primary and secondary school-aged children

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND

  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • The ability to build strong relationships quickly with students

  • Key qualities such as patience, empathy, and resilience

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
