Are you a proactive and enthusiastic IT professional with a passion for problem-solving and user support? We're currently seeking an IT Support Technician for our client to join a busy and collaborative IT department supporting all areas of a well-established manufacturing business at their Bath site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in IT support who enjoys working in a hands-on environment, assisting users across departments with a wide range of IT systems and hardware.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for users on-site at the Bath factory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents and requests, ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.
  • Install and configure hardware and software including:
    • Windows PCs
    • Printers and other peripherals
    • 3rd party business applications
  • Support users in getting the most from software applications.
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior team members or third-party providers when necessary.

The working hours will be 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am - 12.30 on Fridays.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and proactive in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team supporting multiple sites.
  • High level of discretion due to the confidential nature of the information handled.
  • A genuine interest in IT and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Skills & Experience:

  • Formal IT-related qualification(s) or experience in a similar support role (highly desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and SharePoint is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus
