Sonic Summary
- Daley Recruitment is looking for a MET Fitter / Mechanic for a permanent position at one of the largest independent body shops in the UK.
- The salary for this role ranges from £45,000 to £60,000 OTE, depending on experience.
- Candidates must have prior experience in the motor industry and be comfortable working on various vehicle types.
- The job involves dismantling and reassembling damaged vehicles, as well as identifying additional damage and liaising with the Parts Department.
- Applicants should have their own tools, be able to commute to the UB2 area, and possess strong written and spoken English skills.
Package:
- Monday to Friday (No weekends or compulsory overtime)
- Start time is flexible between 06:30 - 08:00 each day
- Salary between £45,000 - £60,000 OTE depending on experience

Job Role:
- Competently dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicles to an exceptionally high and quality standard
- Responsible for strip and fitment of all mechanical , electrical and trim components
- Be comfortable working on a wide range of vehicles (MSC repair all makes/models of cars, vans, HGVs, prestige vehicles, classic cars, etc.)
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of multiple vehicle systems and subsystems
- Have the ability to work to a job card within the estimated time frame
- Identify additional parts which are damaged, but not included on a job card & report these for potential
supplementary work
- Report unseen damage to an Estimator once it is identified
- Liaise with the Parts Department, returning any unused parts
- Photograph & record each stage of your repair process
- Perform road tests (where required)
- Work must be carried out to BS1015 accreditation
Previous experience:
- Must have worked in the Motor industry previously
- ATA / IMI / NVQ / VCQ would be an advantage
- Very good written and spoken English is a essential
- Working in a fast paced environment
Candidates should be able to commute to the UB2 area for ease of travel & have their own tools!!!!
