Are you a caring, patient, and proactive individual with experience supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southall is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This full-time role begins in September 2025 and will continue for the full academic year, with potential for extension. The school is part of a collaborative local trust and is known for its strong SEN support structure, nurturing ethos, and excellent staff retention.
The Role:-
Providing consistent 1:1 support for a child with ASD, focusing on communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning

Supporting with transitions and social interaction during class, break, and lunchtime

Working closely with the SENCo, class teacher, and external professionals

Adapting resources and delivering tailored interventions as required

Keeping clear records of progress and contributing to reviews and planning meetings

Prior experience supporting children with ASD (school-based or similar setting)

Calm, compassionate, and consistent approach to behaviour and communication

Strong communication and organisational skills

Able to work collaboratively and take initiative within the classroom

A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA certificate) is advantageous
