Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a forward thinking and dynamic organisation who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their accounts department on a long term contract basis. The responsibilities as the Assistant Accountant will include:
  • Assist with the production of monthly management and annual statutory accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for budget holders and other stakeholders
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Journal processing
  • Variance analysis
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • External returns and reporting
To be considered for the role of Assistant Accountant:
  • Good ability with MS Office packages including Excel
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to form strong external relationships
The role will be primarily remote working with occasional travel to the Hampshire offices. You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.Due to the high volume of applications we receive it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants.
