Audit Manager

Our client, a leading accountancy firm in Southampton, is currently seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit clients and leading audit teams to deliver high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of audit clients and ensuring that audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and providing exceptional client service
• Leading audit teams and ensuring that all team members are fully trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively
• Reviewing audit work papers and ensuring that all audit evidence is documented appropriately
• Identifying and resolving technical issues and ensuring that audit files comply with auditing standards and regulations
• Providing technical guidance and support to audit teams
• Ensuring that audit fees are agreed with clients in advance and that fees are collected in a timely manner
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients and working with the partners to develop new business

Qualifications and Experience:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in external audit in an accountancy firm
• Experience in managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit teams
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in coaching and developing team members
• Experience in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications
