Role Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of retail construction and shopfitting. Based in Southampton, you'll play a key role in pricing and planning projects for major retail clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and commercial viability.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for retail shopfitting and construction projects.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to align budgets and timelines.
- Provide value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.
- Track project costs and support post-tender negotiations
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in estimating within the retail fit-out or construction sector.
- Strong understanding of materials, labour, and subcontractor pricing.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
