Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing month-end reporting (WD3/WD7 timelines)
  • Reviewing and providing insightful commentary on management accounts
  • Overseeing VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations and payroll sign-off (outsourced)
  • Cashflow reporting and dividend planning
  • Driving annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Acting as liaison for auditors
  • Supporting M&A integrations and project work across the group
  • Mentoring, leading and developing an Accounts Assistant
  • Identifying and leading on system improvements
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Manager
  • Proven experience in financial control within SMEs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present clearly – you’ll be presenting to the MD and Group FD
  • To be detail-oriented with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset
  • Confidence with Excel (intermediate+) and a willingness to learn MS Dynamics
