Michael Page are partnering with a successful business based in Southampton who are looking for a Production Accountant to join their accountancy team on a full time permanent basis.

Our client is a successful business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Southampton and do require travel to their offices.

Description

As the Production Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • rack and analyse manufacturing costs, including materials, labour, and overhead.

  • Prepare and manage production budgets and forecasts.

  • Maintain accurate inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

  • Generate cost reports and analyse variances against budget.

  • Support month-end and year-end close with relevant production entries.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audits.

  • Monitor capital expenditures and asset depreciation.

  • Assist in cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.

  • Use ERP systems for accurate financial and production data entry.

  • Reconcile supplier invoices with POs and resolve discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams.
