About the Role:
A dynamic secondary school in Southampton is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team full-time from November 2025. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom presence and a passion for supporting students' learning across a variety of subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Support students in their learning and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Liaise with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.
- Provide feedback on student progress and classroom activity.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage behaviour confidently and calmly.
- A flexible and proactive approach to classroom support.
- A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
