Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting Class 2 Refuse Drivers for a local authority based at their Millbrook depot.
This is an ongoing contract working 6am - 4pm.
Hourly pay rate 18.26 increasing to 18.57 after 12 weeks.
YOU MUST HAVE THE CORRECT LICENSES FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDING VALID CPC AND TACHO CARD!
The successful candidate must be able to work responsibly, safely and in a timely manner. Duties will include working as part of a team driving the heavy goods vehicle and loading refuse.
Driving assessment and health & safety induction will be given.
Duties:
- Driving a class 2 vehicle and sometimes be required to assist with the loading
- To collect paper, green waste, household waste and special collections
- Heavy lifting / fast paced
- Customer facing
Please note you may sometimes be asked to drive a 7.5t vehicle instead when required - this is doing household item collections such as sofas, fridges, wardrobes etc.
Previous experience of the waste industry and of waste collection is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Requirements:
- Class 2 driving experience is essential
- Must hold a valid CPC certificate
- Must have a digital tachograph card
