HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our client, delivering plant machinery to and from customer sites across the Hampshire and South Coast area.

About the Role:

• Position: 12-week temp-to-perm

• Working Days: Monday to Friday

• Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and collect plant machinery to/from customer sites

  • Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring equipment is safely secured

  • Perform daily vehicle checks to maintain high safety standards

What We're Looking for:

• A Full UK Class 2 Driving licence

• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cards

• Licence held for a minimum of 1 year

• Experience with safely loading, unloading, and securing mobile plant machinery

• Strong strapping and chaining skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Ability to maintain the vehicle to a high standard and perform regular checks to ensure roadworthiness
