Surveyor - Social housing
Salary: 46,000 | Hours: 37/week | Location: Hampshire
We're after a hands-on Surveyor to join our clients team, inspecting homes, spotting defects, and delivering practical solutions. You'll manage repairs, minor and major works, and support projects from start to finish.
Day-to-day:
- Inspect properties and assess repairs or disrepair issues.
- Prepare technical reports and schedules of work.
- Work with trades, contractors, and internal teams to make sure jobs are done right.
- Approve and monitor adaptations like Disabled Facility Grants.
- Support planned maintenance programmes and provide practical advice.
- Deliver excellent customer service when dealing with queries or complaints.
You'll need:
- Experience in building surveying
- HND/HNC, or equivalent in Building Surveying or construction-related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Confident with Microsoft Office; maintenance software experience is a plus.
