Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Southampton

Salary: 35-38,000

Our client, a progressive and design-focused architectural practice, is looking to appoint a Senior Architectural Technician with strong experience in delivering large-scale residential developments for leading UK house builders. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an ambitious studio dedicated to creating high-quality, design-led housing solutions.

Role Overview:

  • Produce precise, detailed technical drawings for major residential projects

  • Collaborate closely with architects, planners, engineers, and clients to achieve design and compliance objectives

  • Ensure technical output is fully aligned with UK Building Regulations and NHBC Standards

  • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior members of the team

  • Actively participate in project and client meetings, contributing technical expertise



About You:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology (or equivalent qualification)

  • Substantial experience working on large residential schemes for national house builders

  • Strong technical capability with excellent attention to detail

  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM software

  • Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations and industry standards

  • Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively

  • Clear communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
