Our client based in Southampton is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, purpose of the role is to produce components to the required specification, safely efficiently and accurately, to ensure production requirements are met.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • 5th & 4th Axis Machining experience
  • Ability to Write & adjust Fanuc & Hass programs
  • CAD/CAM experience preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with AS9100 & ISO9001
  • Ability to read & Interpret engineering drawings
  • Ensuring all programs are run to the optimum times & adjust wear offsets when necessary.
  • Deburring & assembly experience
  • Ensuring all parts are moved to the next allocated machine to aid other personal to plan for next operation
  • Ensuring all set up sheet and programs have the correct part number and issue and stored under the correct customer heading (Via Production Manager)
  • Attention to detail and ability to inspect your own work using bore micrometer, vernier’s, external micrometers, other inspection equipment & gauges
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with the passion for passing on skills to others when required
  • Assist in the cleaning, organisation and maintenance of the shop floor work environment
  • Promote and provide constant input into continuous improvement
  • Promote a team environment
  • Comply with all policies, specifications and safety procedures
  • Adherence to Quality Management System

Hours:

  • 39 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Experience:

  • CNC programming: 3 years (preferred)
