Role overview:

My client is a World Leading Construction and Civil Engineering Company.

They are presently delivering a prestigious, circa 200m Civils Project on the western edge of Southampton.

The successful candidate will have experience of similar projects, e.g large concrete structures, 278 works, drainage, earthworks and new roads and footpaths. In the role you will be required to use your initiative and coordinate gangs to maximise efficiency and work in-line with the programme. My client would consider applicants on a freelance or permenent basis.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and supervising Site and Graduate Engineers.

Duties include:

  • Supervising and coordination of the setting out of large concrete structures, roads, earthworks and drainage.
  • Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
  • Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
  • Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
  • Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
  • Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
  • Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
  • Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
