Responsibilities for the Environment Manager will include:

  • Develop and maintain environment management plans, ensure adherence to legislation, permits, and planning conditions, and conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Promote Sustainable best practise, such as waste reduction, carbon management and biodiversity enhancement and continually scanning for opportunities for improvement.
  • Be the main point of contact with key stakeholders including regulators and local authorities, Also Deliver training to staff as required.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances and contribute to emergency response and pollution prevention planning.

The successful Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within utilities, construction, infrastructure or wider built environment
  • Hold a degree in a relevant Environmental related subject or hold a relevant professional e.g. IEMA
  • Experience with Environmental management systems e.g., ISO14001, waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ideally experience working closely with stakeholders
